Hannah Elliott, Junior Miss Galaxy UK, was recently a special guest at a charity event which was in aid of a local charity – Seb4CHUF!

Hannah had such a wonderful evening supporting a fantastic cause!

Here’s what Hannah had to say about the event and also why the charity is so close to her heart:

‘I had the most wonderful evening last night supporting a local charity named Seb4CHUF. This charity was set up by 2 amazing parents following the birth of their son Sebastian who was born with a congenital heart defect in 2009. The incredible staff at the Freeman hospital operated on Seb at just 4 months old saving his life and his parents have since dedicated their time to raising as much money for the CHUF cause as possible as their way of saying thankyou. This was extra special for me as my great grandfather Ronnie Cushion was one of the first people in the UK to have a mechanical heart valve transplant in 1971 and was part of the Northern Heart League fundraisers set up to support the Freeman hospital too, this has now evolved into CHUF and I’m so pleased to be able to carry on with my family supporting and fundraising for this incredible hospital in Newcastle. I spent some time at the Freeman hospital earlier in the year with the children in the heart high dependency unit singing and dancing with the WEMTC and continue to be blown away by the staff and the sheer dedication of the parents.’

You can find out more about the Seb4CHUF fund at www.seb4chuf.org.uk

CHUF is a registered charity in England and Wales (no 512224)

We are so thrilled you had an amazing night for such a great cause, well done Hannah!
