Merry Christmas from Miss Galaxy, Bella Normand!
A Christmas message from Arabella Normand – Miss Galaxy Scotland 2015 and Miss Galaxy 2016
As Christmas approaches I know many of you are getting very excited for the upcoming Galaxy UK pageant and I can’t wait to meet you all in February. This year has been incredible for me and has definitely been the best 12 months of my life!
I have competed in pageants for 4 years and 2 of those within the Galaxy system first as a Teen and then as a Miss. As a result I know how many of the 2016 competitors will be feeling right now – a mixture of nervous anticipation and excitement with the added fun of choosing your outfits for on stage! Last year I was exactly the same, so I appreciate how you feel and I can promise you that it will all be worth it! Competing in the Galaxy system is amazing – you will make new friends and have fun together! Whether you are experiencing pageants for the first time, or have competed in pageants before, my advice for a stress free Galaxy weekend is to prepare well! When I was new to pageants I also made sure I watched every pageant I could find on You tube and it really helped me develop my walk, so it’s a tip that I always recommend!
I am so excited to see who will be crowned Miss Galaxy Scotland 2016 and I can’t wait to tell them, and the other 2016 UK winners, about how incredible the internationals in Florida are. Orientation, the pj party, the white party and finally prelims and finals night – it flies by (with a trip to see The Mouse before the start of the week of course!!) I celebrated my 21st birthday this year on the White Party night, and I then went on to receive the best present I could ever have dreamed of when the Miss Galaxy international crown was placed on my head on finals night. In 2016 I am incredibly excited that I will be travelling to the first ever Ireland Galaxy finals as well as to the USA to attend the Mid-West Galaxy nationals with my other international sister queens. I am involved with charity work for the homeless and I have lots of appearances booked in already for the second half of my reign as Miss Galaxy 2016, culminating with the Queen’s Retreat and the 2016 Galaxy Internationals in August – so it’s going to be a busy year! If you haven’t already done so you will find me on fb (Miss Galaxy) and Instagram (@missgalaxy2016) so do like my official page as I keep it constantly updated with pageant news!
I hope everyone has an amazing Christmas and a very happy start to the New Year and, as I said at the beginning of this message, I can’t wait to meet you all in February!
