Merry Christmas from Mrs Galaxy UK, Samantha Ratcliffe!

Mrs Galaxy UK, Samantha Ratcliffe, would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and share some of her favourite Galaxy moments with you!

‘Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

What a fabulous year I have had as Mrs Galaxy UK 2014.

I first entered galaxy nearly four years ago now, when they first introduced the Mrs category. And even though I was unsuccessful in my first and second year at winning the Mrs Crown I gained the gift of confidence and grew as a person year after year. This has made me the person I am today.

Winning the ultimate Mrs Galaxy UK title in March was amazing, I had so many emotions running through me at that moment. It had been a long but amazing journey to get here. I actually couldn’t believe they had called my name out as the winner until Kirsty started walking towards me with the sash and it was at that point I thought “ wow this is actually happening to me, my time has come.’

During my time as Mrs Galaxy UK I have had so many opportunities and gained so many memories from my time, but also it has given me a platform to continue my charity and community work.

With over a 100 appearances during my year it’s hard to just pick a few examples, but being able to support Help for heroes and raise over £10,000 along team meerkat was a massive honour. As well as completing Europe’s longest fast zip wire in aid of the Dean Puplett appeal. I now look forward to helping the homeless over Christmas and supporting my local food bank too.

Then there was the Big International Final.

I had a great experience filled with memories that will last me a life time, from pyjama parties, spice girl medley and pool side photo shoots. I want to say thank you to Holly Ikin and her team (and family) for their support along the way. Holly and her team work so hard to make sure the Galaxy girls have an amazing time, that is their priority.

To all the ladies that haven’t yet entered – Please do. Even if you don’t win the crown, you won’t go away empty handed. You’ll make friends, create memories and develop as a person.

To all the UK finalists – enjoy your journey!!! It’s not just about the final night and winning or losing its an experience that will last a life time. I was lucky enough to have a Galaxy journey that lasted 4 years and I will forever be a galaxy girl. To know I have been able to support my fellow queens and my local community has been the biggest reward of my journey and long may that continue.

Remember pageants are a lifestyle, it has to come from the heart. True beauty cannot be generated with how ever much spray tan, dresses or money. Be yourself and let your inner beauty shine and that will be what really makes you sparkle.

Good luck to all the 2015 finalists and I will see you in February.

Lots of Love,

Your Mrs Galaxy UK 2014′

Merry Christmas Sam, thanks for being such a fantastic queen!
