Tara, our Miss Caerphilly Galaxy, did a charity bag pack in aid of The Christie!

‘I choose to take a day unpaid out of my everyday job (where I work within General Practice/ GP Practice). I Instead, to help raise money for the wonderful chosen charity for Galaxy ‘The Christie Charity’ I decided to spend my whole day from 10:30 – 5:30pm in my local Morrisons Superstore as Miss Caerphilly Galaxy and helped bag-pack the whole day through.

I was so proud of what I managed to raise this day bag packing not within a team of people as part of a Netball, football or Rugby Team but solely by myself with a help for an hour off a close friend. I thoroughly enjoyed my day helping others chatting and answering lots of questions they had to ask. I enjoyed explaining what a Pageant Queen does despite wearing amazing gowns and pretty things on that stage, and how a beauty queen is someone who doesn’t just look ok on the outside but the inner person is so so Important also. It’s such a big part of becoming a beauty queen. I got told during my bag-packing event that I was a true asset; and that it was lovely to see someone local actually doing something amazing to help others and charities like The Christie, only if more people were as trying and willing to help out towards charities and raise money like myself and all the contestants the world would be a much better place. I was overwhelmed with all the feedback I had from both staff and shoppers in and out of the Store that day and I thank them so much for wishing me all the luck in the world for my Miss Galaxy Finals in just a few short weeks away.’

What a great appearance, well done, Tara!
