Laura, Miss Gloucestershire Galaxy, and Harriet, Miss Swindon Galaxy, organised an Eco Fashion Show for charity!

In an AMAZING achievement, Laura Entwistle (Miss Gloucestershire Galaxy) and Harriet Letheren (Miss Swindon Galaxy), organised an Eco Fashion Show for charity. Some of the models at the event were Miss and Miss Teen Galaxy-UK finalists and included Abi Cutler, Miss Teen Birmingham Galaxy, Amy Nuttall, Miss Teen Cardiff Galaxy, Anastasia James, Miss Tarporley Galaxy and Jen Rogers, Miss Caerphilly Galaxy.

Laura says:

'The fashion show was brilliant, everybody was great! We had the girls modelling bridal wear, college recycled outfits, republic fashion and our own recycled outfits, Harriet and I made 5 between us, the girls looked great in them, the outfits were made out of materials such as pizza boxes and plastic bags.'

Special guests at the event included the Mayor of Gloucestershire, as well as the head of the council. There was a variety of entertainment from breakdancing to singing. The event raised close to £1000 for charity, which is a massive amount! A representative from Greenpeace attended and have a speech to the audience; he also accepted a cheque on behalf of the charity. The UK Galaxy team are so proud of Laura and Harriet for organising such a great event and raising so much money for charity. The girls really should be proud of themselves as they are great ambassadors for young people in the UK. Abi, Anastasia, Amy and Jen should also be proud of themselves for taking part in such a great event! We are proud of the Galaxy Girls!
