Eligibility & Acceptance

Miss Galaxy England/Scotland/Wales

Must be unmarried (e.g. single, divorced, widowed, single mother) as of the start date of the UK Galaxy final. Must be 19 to 29 years as of July 1st 2012. Delegates participating in preliminary pageants leading to the Miss Galaxy International Pageant may be 18 years of age provided that they reach their 19th birthday prior to the start date of the Miss Galaxy International Pageant event. Must be unmarried as of the start date of the pageant event. This applies to participation in any preliminary pageant (e.g., local, state, provincial, national) leading to the Miss Galaxy International Pageant event as well as the international pageant itself.

Miss Teen Galaxy England/Wales/Scotland

Must be at least 14 and no older than 18 as of July 1st 2012. Delegates participating in preliminary pageants leading to the Miss Teen Galaxy International Pageant may be 13 years of age provided that they reach their 14th birthday prior to the start date of the Miss Galaxy International Pageant event.

Must be single and never married as of the start date of the pageant event. Must not have ever had a child. This applies to participation in any preliminary pageant (e.g., local, state, provincial, national) leading to the Miss Teen Galaxy International Pageant event as well as the international pageant itself. Must remain unmarried during her reign as a state titleholder and as the international titleholder should she win. If a Teen is engaged to be married during her reign as Miss Teen Galaxy she will be disqualified.

All delegates/contestants under 18 years, as of the start of the UK Final, must be accompanied at all events, including the international pageant in 2010, by a parent or legal guardian. The parent or legal guardian will bear their own costs for all expenses including travel and accommodation.

In order to be eligible to compete for one of the titles (Miss or Miss Teen Galaxy England/Scotland Wales), contestant must meet at least one of the following criteria

- Current or prior residency in the country
- Current or prior employment in the country
- Current or prior student status in the country
- Current or prior property owner in the country
- Born in the country
- 25% heritage of that country

Returning Delegates

Former winners of the titles Miss Galaxy International ®, and Miss Teen Galaxy International® are not eligible to compete in the same division but may re-enter once their status changes such that they become eligible for a different division.

Bonus Points

Contestants can earn bonus points by making appearances throughout their reign as state, regional or national titleholders. Each approved appearance will be eligible to be awarded points and more information on Bonus Points will be given in detail to the titleholders. All bonus points, to a maximum of 5, are awarded at the discretion of the UK Galaxy Director. The director’s decision is final and will not enter into debate or discussion with regards to the awarding of bonus points.

Official Language

English is the official language of the UK Galaxy Pageant. It is a requirement for delegates to speak English.

Gender

Entrant must be a naturally born genetic female.

Code of Conduct

Delegate shall be a person whose background is not likely to bring in to disrepute the Miss Galaxy-UK and Miss Teen Galaxy-UK or Title or the Licensee or the Promoter or any person associated with them. Entrant affirms that she is and will continue to be a person of good moral character; that she has not committed and will not commit any act inconsistent with the highest standards of public morals and conventions or that will reflect unfavorably on the pageant, its representatives, sponsors and/or licensees; that she has not appeared in, or posed for, any nude or provocative photographs prior to, during the preliminary or pageant finals, or during her reign should she become a preliminary Winner or Galaxy International Pageant® Titleholder.

Delegate will conduct herself in a courteous, professional manner at all times during the UK Galaxy Pageant, Galaxy International Pageant™ and while representing a Galaxy International Pageant® title.

Delegate will not slander or libel other contestants, judges, Galaxy Pageants, Inc. staff, UK Galaxy Pageants staff or anyone else involved with or connected to the Galaxy International Pageant®. Defamatory verbal and/or written remarks against UK Galaxy Pageants, Galaxy Pageants, Inc. and the Galaxy International Pageant® will result in immediate disqualification, forfeiture of any and all prizes and awards won, and legal charges.

Any delegate found publicly posting slanderous remarks on public forums will be immediately disqualified.

Good sportsmanship is expected at all times. Disruptive behavior before, during, or after the pageant may result in disqualification, removal from the premises, and legal charges.

UK Galaxy Pageants - Limitation of Liability / Responsibility

UK Galaxy Pageants agree to provide the winners of Miss Galaxy England/Wales/Scotland and Miss Teen Galaxy England/Wales/Scotland:

a) Paid entry into the Galaxy International Pageant.

b) Payment for return flights from the UK to The Pageant State. UK Galaxy is not responsible for arranging international travel or intervening / loss of goods / resolving disputes surrounding international travel to the United States of America for the pageant competition.

c) Accommodation and meal allowance at the host hotel for the duration of the Galaxy International Pageant.

All delegates/contestants under 18 years, as of the start of the International Pageant, must be accompanied at all events, including the international pageant in 2010, by a parent or legal guardian. The parent or legal guardian will bear their own costs for all expenses including travel and accommodation.

d) If the Galaxy International Pageant is cancelled, the above prizes are not transferrable. Flight, accomodation, pageant entry fee and meal allowances are solely for the Galaxy International Pageant.

UK Galaxy Entrants agrees:

a) To attend the Galaxy International Pageant if selected as the winner in the preliminary final pageant and further abide by all the required services, rules and regulations governing this pageant. Entrant agrees that in the event of the winner not being able to compete in the Galaxy International Pageant, if any payments have been paid by UK Galaxy Pageants for the winner’s prize to the Galaxy International Pageant, they will be liable to reimburse UK Galaxy pageants in full.

b) To attend the United Kingdom Galaxy Pageants 2013 if selected as the winner in the preliminary final pageant.

c) If selected as a UK Galaxy winner, delegate agrees make a minimum of 15 appearances throughout her year’s reign as approved by the director of UK Galaxy Pageants, prior to the Galaxy International Finals. Appearances may include but are not limited to parades; radio, television and newspaper interviews; and public appearances at events. Winners are expected to provide UK Galaxy Pageants. with photos of appearances for the UK Galaxy Pageant website and promotion.

d) If selected as a winner of Miss Galaxy England/Scotland/Wales or Miss Teen Galaxy England/Scotland/Wales they will not enter or compete in any other national or international pageant or beauty contest during her reign. Winners are expected to give their time and energy to this title and this title only during their year’s reign. Permission for UK Galaxy Pageant titleholders to participate in other pageants will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

e) If selected as a winner of Miss Galaxy England/Scotland/Wales or Miss Teen Galaxy England/Scotland/Wales agrees that a contract will be signed pertaining to the code of conduct, appearances and work, including modelling, television and film, that the winners undertake during their reign on behalf of UK Galaxy Pageants.

f) If selected as a winner of Miss Galaxy England/Scotland/Wales or Miss Teen Galaxy England/Scotland/Wales, the UK Galaxy director’s decision is final with regards to wardrobe choices at the Galaxy International Final. The winners’ dresses, provided by sponsors, will be ultimately selected and approved by the UK Galaxy Director.

g) That a commission of 20% (plus VAT on that commission, if applicable) will be deducted by the directors of UK Galaxy Pageants from the gross fee for any paid assignment as a UK Galaxy delegate, which has been organised and booked with UK Galaxy.

h) To look solely to the UK Galaxy Pageant Director with respect to all matters relating to her application, rules, regulations, policies, preparation, rehearsal, performance and selection process, and all other matters relating to the preliminary pageant.

i) That UK Galaxy Pageants and Galaxy Pageants, Inc., its officers, employees, and pageant personnel are not responsible for accidents, injury or theft incurred at the time of the UK Galaxy Final or Galaxy International Pageant® or travel to and from.

j) That UK Galaxy Pageants and Galaxy Pageants, Inc. is not responsible for negligence or fraud on the part of pageant sponsors, judges, or contract vendors (e.g., photographer, videographer, etc.) who may be providing products or services to delegates and winners at the UK Galaxy final or Galaxy International Pageant®.

k) That UK Galaxy Pageants and Galaxy Pageants, Inc. is not responsible for negligence or fraud on the part of the host hotel.

l) That UK Galaxy Pageants and Galaxy Pageants, Inc. is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage caused to any and all prizes, gifts, and awards bestowed upon entrant after these items become the property of entrant. Entrant agrees to incur replacement and/or repair costs to lost, stolen, or damaged items including but not limited to: crown/tiara, sash, plaques, trophies, etc.

m) That the date/venue of the UK Galaxy Pageant is subject to change and in such a case, the entrant is not eligible for a refund.

n) That prizes given by UK Galaxy Sponsors to prize winners are not the responsibility of UK Galaxy Pageants and UK Galaxy Pageants cannot be held liable for any sponsor not fulfilling their prizes to winners.

n) That UK Galaxy Pageants are not responsible for organisation of the venue and location of the Galaxy International Pageant. These are subject to change and are organised by Galaxy Pageants, Inc.

o) That entrants under 18 years will be accompanied at all times during the preliminary and international finals by a parent or legal guardian and they are the sole responsibility of the parent/legal guardian. They are not the responsibility of United Kingdom Galaxy Pageants and Galaxy International Inc.

p) That if delegate wins the England/Scotland/Wales competition and then continues to win the Galaxy International pageant in the USA, a new contract with UK Galaxy Pageants will be signed.

Deadlines

All deadlines for photographs, and contestant information are strictly enforced and must be adhered to by entrant.

Entry Fee & Payments

Delegate's sash will be ordered and delegates titles made official after payment has been received in full by UK Galaxy Pageants

Delegate's deposit reserves an area title for a period of four weeks. If full payment is not received by the end of the four week period, the title will be awarded to another contestant.

Refund Policy

All fees paid to Galaxy Pageants UK. are NOT REFUNDABLE and NOT TRANSFERABLE in full or in part for under any circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to entry fees, advertising fees, pageant admission ticket sales fees, guest meal fees and any other fees paid to Galaxy Pageants UK. by anyone including, but not limited to, delegates, sponsors, and advertisers.

Photography & Videography - Minors

Adults accompanying Delegates, who are under 18 years of age as of the pageant date, authorise the right for Photography & Videography for the UK Galaxy Pageants & Galaxy International Pageant®. This includes internet, websites, printed publications, all events leading to, and including, the UK Galaxy Pageant and Galaxy International Pageant®.

By virtue of participation in the UK Galaxy Pageant, delegate agrees to allow UK Galaxy Pageants the right to use her name, likeness, voice and/or biographical information for purposes of publicity and promotion now and in the future. Delegate understands that her name, likeness, voice, and/or biographical information may be used on the internet, in print advertising, press releases and merchandise related to the UK Galaxy Pageant (e.g., t-shirts, tote bags, hats, other apparel, mouse pads, and other promotional materials.) Delegate agrees to release UK Galaxy Pageants from liability for any injury resulting from publicity and promotion. Delegate agrees to waive any and all compensation for use of her name, likeness, voice, and /or biographical information for purposes of publicity and promotion.

Agreement

UK Galaxy Pageant entrant agrees to abide by the above rules. If an entrant fails to abide by the above rules and/or brings Galaxy Pageants UK & Galaxy Pageants International, Inc., into disrepute, which a decision will be made at the Director’s digression, the UK Galaxy Pageant Director and/or Galaxy International Director has the right to terminate the entrants contract immediately, reclaim the entrants sash and authorise the deletion of all photos containing the Galaxy Sash & Galaxy crown.

Delegate agrees to sign a Code of Conduct statement indicating agreement to abide by the terms specified here and also the obligations & terms and conditions of Miss Galaxy-UK and Miss Teen Galaxy-UK. Failure to sign these statements does not in any way release delegate from responsibility to abide by the Code of Conduct and terms and conditions of UK Galaxy Pageants.

By submitting the entry form and fee(s) to UK Galaxy Pageants, UK Preliminary Pageant leading to the Galaxy International Pageant®, delegate agrees to abide by all policies, rules and regulations set forth by Galaxy Pageants, Inc on www.galaxypageants.com and UK Galaxy Pageants on www.galaxypageantsuk.com

Participation in the UK Galaxy Pageant also indicates acceptance and agreement to abide by all policies, rules and regulations set forth by UK Galaxy pageants and Galaxy Pageants, Inc. Delegate attests that all information submitted to UK Galaxy Pageants is true and accurate. Falsification of information and failure to comply with the policies of UK Galaxy Pageants & Galaxy Pageants, Inc. may result in immediate disqualification and/or forfeiture of prizes won without benefit of refund in full or in part at the sole discretion of Galaxy Pageants, Inc.
