We collected our bronze award at The Christie awards night!

The UK Galaxy Pageants were invited to receive a bronze award at the supporters of The Christie awards evening!

Here’s what Holly Pirrie, director of the UK Galaxy Pageants had to say about the evening:

‘Tonight, I attended the annual Corporate Awards for supporters of The Christie. I collected our Bronze award, for raising just short of £100,000 since 2013.

I was so proud and honoured to receive this award on behalf of every beauty queen that has fundraised for The Christie with our organisation. I was joined by Bella, our reigning international winner of Miss Galaxy, and Jessica, who raised the highest total at the 2016 UK Galaxy Pageant. It was an honour to share this experience with these two fantastic, young women … And they definitely picked up a fair few fans tonight too!

People may have many opinions of pageants & beauty queens but I don’t think there are many groups of people who can collectively say that, as part of their hobby, they have helped to improve the lives of so many others. This total is purely for The Christie, Pageant Girl Ltd has also fundraised for Claire House Children’s Hospice & Together for Short Lives during this time, so our fundraising totals well exceed over £100k!

Thank you to each & every one of you who did any fundraising to contribute towards this, I am speechless at what you have all achieved.

Special thank you to Kevin Sandland, who has tirelessly supported The Christie for many years. It was because of Kevin that I chose to support this amazing organisation.’

Thank you to every single Galaxy Girl who contributed to raising this incredible amount of money, you are all AMAZING!
